A weekend conference celebrating thirty years of the Senhouse Roman Museum. The conference will present recent research archaeology in West Cumbria, from Beckfoot to Ravenglass. The conference will be launched on Friday evening with a keynote lecture by Professor Rebecca Jones of Historic Environment Scotland. Speakers include: Professor Rebecca Jones (Maryport and the Frontiers of the Roman Empire), Professor David Breeze, John Zant (Maryport Roman Settlement Project), Professor Ian Haynes and Tony Wilmott (Maryport Altars and Temples Project), Lindsay Allason-Jones (New Light on Old Stones), Rachel Newman (Beckfoot Cemetery), Kurt Hunter-Mann (Romans at Ravenglass), Dr. Pete Wilson (The Roman military in West Cumbria). The conference will include guided tours of the fort and site of the recent excavations at Maryport on Sunday, a private view of the museum on Saturday evening and unlimited access to the museum. The spacious conference venue will be at The Wave, overlooking the historic harbour of Maryport. Tickets are available from the museum and are in-person and online. Access to the fort and site of the excavation is by kind permission of Cultura Trust.

All venues are accessible for wheelchair users except the fort and excavation tours due to rough terrain.
