Cyanotype Printing Workshop

The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre Bardon Mill, Hexham, Northumberland, NE47 7AN

06 Aug 2022

Delivered by NNPA

Come and join us for an immersive day in the woods below Hadrian’s Wall, learning a new craft and getting lost in the process of making use of natural materials.

In this outdoor based workshop, you will learn how to print with this incredible deep, bright pigment and capture perfect outlines of foraged flowers, plants and leaves.

You’ll find out about the chemistry of cyanotypes and experiment with a bag of your own handmade, artisan paper and fabric samples.

While we get busy crafting, lunch will be prepared on the campfire, along with teas and coffees and surrounding us will be the incredible, restorative landscapes of the National Park.

Led by experienced crafts people you’ll be in good, welcoming hands and come away feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and with some beautiful, nature inspired crafts to remindyou of your day.

All the materials you will need will be provided for. We will be working from The Sill Woodland, so have access to all of The Sill’s facilities, but please wear clothing and footwear suitable for an outdoor environment.
