Hadrian Clog is based in Northumberland, and perform a wide variety of clog and hard shoe dances from the North East of England, Scotland, Lancashire and beyond, as far afield as Ottowa and Cape Breton. They take traditional steps, give them their own ‘Hadrian’ twist, and pair them with their favourite folk tunes and songs.
While the dances are based on traditional steps, they also enjoy creating and choreographing their own unique dances.
Hadrian Clog are a lively clog team, and many of their dancers are musicians too, with fiddles, concertina, melodeon and bodhran accompanying their steps. With youngsters from 8 to adults, the team puts on a show for all ages. They have been seen ‘Dancing the Wall’ from Newcastle to Carlisle. On the 13th August, you can catch them at Housesteads Roman Fort.
