Delivered by ANEW – Tyneside Welcomes
Amnesty North East Welcomes (ANEW) is a branch of Tyneside Welcomes, a Community Sponsorship charity that helps refugee families settle and become a part of a safe, welcoming community. To mark 1900 years of Hadrian’s Wall, from 27th June to 2nd July, a group of ANEW volunteers and friends are walking along the wall from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend to raise funds to help welcome a refugee family to Gateshead.
They are doing the walk over six days, from 27th June to 2nd July 2022, and are keen to welcome anyone who would like to join the walk for any part of the journey. If you’d like to walk with the group, please message them at anew.welcome@gmail.com.
