Back to the 1900 Festival

Saturnalia Tour Volunteer Opportunity

Join us for one last celebration as we commemorate a wonderful year and draw a close to the Hadrian’s Wall 1900 Festival this December!

Saturnalia is a travelling installation made up of music, creative lighting, fire, interactive projection and an entertaining troupe of mischief and merrymakers. It will visit ten communities along Hadrian’s Wall over ten nights in December, drawing a close to the Hadrian’s Wall 1900 Festival.

We are looking for volunteers to support the delivery of the Saturnalia tour.

OPPORTUNITY

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a once in a lifetime wall-wide knees up drawing a close to the Hadrian’s Wall 1900 Festival and we are looking for volunteers to help us deliver these exciting events in each location. This will include:

Volunteer Stewards:

  • Welcoming visitors to the events
  • Giving information or directions to visitors
  • Supporting visitors to interact with elements of the events for example interactive projection, serving of tea
  • Helping the event team to safely manage the event sites and reporting any untoward incidents
  • Telling people more about the project and providing information about wider Hadrian’s Wall 1900 Festival activity
  • General stewarding duties

Full training and supervision will be provided for both roles.
