Join the Hexham Ramblers on this spectacular walk as they head west over the lands behind Hadrian’s Wall, passing Goatstones, Ravensheugh Crags, Great Lonbrough, Stell Green and Halleypike Lough. They will then pick up the wall at Sewing Shields and stay on it for 3.5 miles to Brocolitia before returning to Simonburn via Teppermoor and Uppertown. On a fine day, the panoramic views of the Cheviots and North Pennines are magnificent.
Good walking boots and outdoor clothing are essential. Bring something to eat and drink. Starts at 10.15am from the village green in Simonburn. Park in the village car park behind the church or in the village itself.
